An Evernote rep tells us that news from Jot Script doesn’t change its relationship with Livescribe, which allows its latest pens to send notes to Evernote.
The news comes just after Livescribe unveiled its latest smart pen, which features a capacitive stylus on one end for digital note taking (in addition to storing your standard handwritten notes). Technically, detecting the pen tip on the screen should be sufficient for handwriting recognition.

The stylus also supports Bluetooth 4.0, although it’s unclear how Evernote will take advantage of this technology. Evernote claims that the thinner tip of the Jot Script allows for a more traditional writing experience. Most styluses (styli?) Have tips of around 6 millimeters, which makes writing with them much more difficult than a regular pen. It’s available for $ 75 on the Evernote store and will start shipping around November 11.
